Magician and Osteopathic Physician
As an Osteopathic Physician, I believe that the body is a dynamic unit of body, mind, and spirit in which the reciprocal relationship between structure and function permit self regulation and healing. Throughout my medical career, I am not ashamed to admit that I have never "cured" disease but rather assisted my patients in finding and restoring health. The body is fully capable of maintaining itself, however if conditions are present that overwhelm the body's ability for self regulation then disease will be the result. It is my responsibility to remove the physical and mental obstacles that prevent the body from doing what it is designed to do. This is the philosophy that I follow when I place my hands on my patients and what I teach to my students. During my 20+ years of teaching and practicing the osteopathic philosophy, what I have experienced with my students and patients can be truly described as MAGICAL!
